Causes of Androgenic Alopecia |
|
|
The term androgenic hair loss refers to hair loss both in males and females. Androgenic alopecia in males is called male pattern baldness as males loss their hair in receding hair line making M shaped pattern. Common Causes in Both Genders Many studies were conducted if low blood circulation can cause androgenic alopecia. It is a contradictory issue, but most dermatologist agree to the fact that poor blood circulation does play its role in hair thinning. Hair follicles are wrapped of tiny blood capillaries. What causes low blood circulation is uncertain, however it is assumed that lack of certain vitamins like vitamin E and accumulation of free radicals are the possible causes. Vitamin E reduces the stiffness in blood vessels and there are many other vitamin and minerals that reduce rate of friction of blood with the walls of blood vessels, increasing flow of blood. Free radicals are body toxins often accumulate in the skin. Scalp massage with herbal hair loss supplements is an effective way to enhance blood flow towards hair follicles. It is one of the proven treatment option that have been used for centuries. Your ancestries have been using essential oils and massage the scalp to keep their hair long and healthy. Most of the part of hair follicles are made up of epithelial cells. Epithelial cells are very vulnerable to damage and they are very sensitive to internal and external stimuli. Each epithelial cell replaces itself with new one after a certain period of time. Replacement of epithelial cells in stomach occurs routinely after each 3 days period. This phenomenon supports healthy growth of tissues that are vulnerable to damage and keeps them healthy. For all this replacement procedure, they need all essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids. If there is a lack of these nutrients, the rate of replacement of epithelial cell is get slower and slower, leaving damaged and unhealthy hair follicles. Therefore, include fruits and vegetables in your diet. Avoid junk foods and drink plenty of water. Chronic illness, use of certain drugs and chemotherapy and harsh hair care products also cause hair thinning. Most often hair loss causes by these factors are temporary and one may regain hair after the cause has been inhibited. In case of chronic illness, many patients successfully regain hair when they are healthy. Likewise, side effects of certain drugs causes hair thinning. It is also temporary and hair regrows again when you stop taking that drug. People use hair shampoos, conditioners, gels, hair stylers and many other hair products without knowing if they are suitable for their hair, if they contain harsh chemical ingredients. They are totally unaware of the fact. Use herbal hair shampoos, conditioners and stylers. Avoid harsh detergents and stylers. Most of brands of hair care products are based synthetic chemicals. Excessive production of DHT is the fundamental cause of androgenic alopecia in males. Testosterone is converted into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is a useful hormone but hair follicles are susceptible to higher amount of these hormones in blood, that's why DHT deteriorates hair follicles and they no longer produce hair shafts. In women, pregnancy and menopause are two salient causes of androgenic alopecia, though they cause temporary hair thinning. Women rarely develop baldness (complete hair loss on the scalp). Pregnancy hair loss regrow after few weeks but menopause hair loss may require use of certain hair loss remedies topically and orally. |
