In this disorder, your immune system is unable to recognizes what is harmful and useful for your body and destroys body's own tissues like hair follicles. Epithelial tissues are very susceptible and soon get degenerated by the effect of autoimmune disorder. A baby suffered from autoimmune disorder is born with few hairs and lose them after few weeks. Doctors prescribe thyroid supplements, insulin injections, corticosteroids and immnosuppressants to treat autoimmune disorder. Using certain drugs like anti-psychotics and chemotherapy may cause hair thinning. But hair thinning caused by these factors is often temporary and a patient regains after few weeks of stopping the drug. In certain conditions, using hair care products and anti hair loss remedies becomes necessary as some drugs leaves severe side effects. While you are on anti-psychotics, do not stopping taking these drugs without consultation of your physician as stopping some drugs suddenly have been reported to cause hair loss. You can use hair care shampoos and supplements to accelerate the rate of growth and prevent the side effects of the drugs. Hormonal imbalance affects your hair follicles and thereby cause hair thinning. There are many factors that triggers hormonal imbalance. Pregnancy, menopause, lack of dietary substances, anti-psychotics, stress, depression etc. are some causes of hormonal imbalance. Therefore, menopause is inevitable factor and most women report that they have severe hair loss during and after menopause. Pregnancy and breastfeeding also cause hormonal fluctuation.
