A large number of women suffer through a common hair problem known as split-ends in which the hair split into 2-3 strands for a length of 2-3 centimeters. It is more common among dry hair or when it has gone through excessive dying or forceful brushing. Following are some useful tips for removing split-ends from your hair:

  1.  Avoid over brushing your hair because it leads to breakage.
  2.  Use a wide-toothed comb when hair is wet.
  3.  Restrict the usage of Hair dryers, curling irons, perms and hair colors because they can damage the hair.
  4.  Protect hair from extreme weathers.
  5.  Apply a conditioner to the ends of the hair to keep them strong.
  6.  Immediately snip away split ends as soon as you observe them. An easy way to do this is cutting above the splits.
  7.  Shampoo hair with a moisturizing formula.
  8.  Keep the slip ends dried and straight because they look worse when they are waved or curled.
