There is no limitation on the number of times you should wash you hair but washing it at least twice a week is important. Some people have a habit of washing it daily which is also fine. Although washing head seems simple but proper method should be followed which is a combination of many mechanical and chemical actions to avoid hair loss and stimulate the regrowth process. Following are 5 simple steps, which you should carefully perform while washing your hair:

  1. Wet your hair with warm water in order to open the pores and stimulate the flow of blood to the scalp.

  2. Apply shampoo to your hair but do not cover the hair with it at once. Start from the front and move towards the back massaging and rubbing foam into your hair and scalp with your fingertips.

  3. Repeat the massaging process for 2-3 minutes to bring the dirt out of the scalp.

  4. Now either leave your hair covered with the shampoo foam for 10-15 minutes in order to remove all the dirt or wash it away and repeat the 2nd and the 3rd step again. Then finally wash away the foam with warm water.

  5. In the end in order to close the pores that got opened by warm water rinse your hair with clean cold water.
